Birth Weight below 2 kg, delivered in JIPMER during study period
Exclusion Criteria
a) Major congenital malformations or surgical problem
d) Hemodynamically unstable babies or mothers
c) Birth weight less than 500 gm

Name Time Method To evaluate whether Periodic Telephonic Boost (PTB) will improve the average duration of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) hours per day in the community compared to those who receive routine follow up.Timepoint: At 1 month,2 months post discharge

Name Time Method To compare the following parameters between intervention group & control group <br/ ><br>A. Weight gain at 1 month and 2 months post-discharge <br/ ><br>B. Exclusive breastfeeding rate at 6 months <br/ ><br>Timepoint: at 1 month, 2 months & 6 months post discharge
