Inclusion Criteria

• consent to participate at the MCT-OCD
• consent to participate in study (informed consent)
• sufficient understanding of the German language
• suitable for group therapy (The patients’ suitability for participating in a group setting will be assessed during the screening session verifying the social skills of the patients during the interview (e.g., whether patients can attend group rules, such as not to insult others))

Exclusion Criteria

• psychotic symptoms (current or lifetime)
• mania
• severe neuropsychological disease
• current substance dependence

Pre- and post-session questionnaire: Before and after each session of the MCT-OCD, patients receive a pre- and post-session questionnaire (revised version used by Miegel et al. (2020)) which captures cognitive biases that correspond to the content of the MCT-OCD modules (4 items on the cognitive bias that is addressed in the corresponding module).

Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS): gold standard for the assessment of patients’ OC symptom severity during the previous week (t0 and t1). <br><br>Obsessive Compulsive Inventory- Revised (OCI-R): The OCI-R is a self-rating questionnaire that assesses OCD symptom severity during the last month (t0 and t1)<br><br>Obsessive-Beliefs-Questionnaire (OBQ-44): The OBQ is a self-rating questionnaire that assesses OCD relevant dysfunctional beliefs (t0 and t1).<br><br>Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II): The BDI is a self-rating questionnaire to measure depressive symptoms over the past two weeks (t0 and t1).<br><br>Meta-cognitions Questionnaire (MCQ): The MCQ is a self-report questionnaire assessing dysfunctional metacognitive beliefs (t0 and t1).<br><br>Expert rating pre- and post-session questionnaire: After each session at the MCT-OCD the therapists assess the change in the cognitive bias corresponding to the related module in an external rating (1 item).
