1.Infants excluding neonates.
2.Mechanically ventilated due to respiratory cause.
3.Fulfilling extubation criteria as per standard PICU protocol.
1.Infants who were mechanically ventilated due to causes other than respiratory.
2.Having associated neurological impairment.
3.Having associated heart disease.
4.Having major congenital/chromosomal anomaly.
5.Declining to give informed consent.
6.Immunocompromised patient.
7.Patient having chronic respiratory problem like cystic fibrosis, follow up of BPD
