Patients/ Cases -
Parkinsonâ??s Patient diagnosed based by Unified Parkinsonâ??s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) and Modified Hoehn and Yahr Staging at Neurology Clinic of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
Controls-
1.No medical history apparently healthy, age match individuals- household contact/blood relative/hospital contact
2.No digestive complaints, symptoms, or disease,
3. No neurodegenerative disease
For Patients and Controls
1. Secondary Parkinsonism,
2. The use of probiotics or antibiotics within one month prior to sample collection,
3. Primary gastrointestinal pathology,
4. Unstable neurological, or psychiatric illness
