This study titled “Effects of Core Strengthening Exercises (CS) versus Traditional Balance Exercises (TB) on Balance and Gait Speed in Older Adults” consisted of participants aged 65-74 years older adults. This experimental study will recruit 60 participants, divided into groups: Group A (Core Strengthening Exercises) and Group B (Traditional Balance Exercises).The interventions will be administered four times a week over 5 weeks, targeting parameters such as balance, gait speed (assessed using SPPB), and lower limb strength (assessed using the chairstand test). This study aims to explore the benefits of two types of exercises on balance and gait speed in older adults.

入选标准
- •Individuals who do not have cognitive impairment as assessed by the Mini Mental State Examination, if hypertension then falls between the normal and prehypertensive stages according to the JNC-7, if diabetic controlled with medicines and are able to walk independently without assistive devices.
排除标准
- •Musculoskeletal disorders like Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis etc.
- •Diabetic neuropathy
- •Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism
- •Neurological disorders like Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple sclerosis etc.
- •Any type of implants in body including total knee arthroplasty, total hip arthroplasty, prosthesis
- •Hearing and vestibular disorders like Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
- •Visual impairments like double vision
- •History of fall in recent 1 year, any dislocations, fractures and episode of dizziness
- •History of spinal surgery
- •Malignancy and tumours
