- Brief Summary
Gabapentin was commonly prescribed in orofacial pain, as the first clinicians' drug choice, and as an interim drug to wait for gene screening results in TN. Most of them were prescribed for trigeminal neuralgia with suboptimal doses. However, gabapentin showed significant pain reduction in orofacial pain, unfortunately, few achieved pain-free periods. few dental charts are showing potential misuse of gabapentin which clinicians prescribed the drug without ICD-10 code and clinical records.
