1.Belonging to age group of 18-25 years
2.Patients needing fixed orthodontic treatment with bonding in upper and lower arch using 0.022 â??slot MBT prescription stainless steel orthodontic brackets and banding in first molars with no other auxiliaries required other than TPA in the maxilla.
3.Patients who donnot require therapeutic extraction of teeth
4.Healthy buccal enamel free of any enamel defects hypoplastic spots, fluorosis caries or restoration
5.Without crowding -Arch length tooth material discrepancy not more than 2mm
6.Willing to give consent to participate in the study
7.Use of right hand while brushing the teeth
1.Presence active or untreated caries lesion, gingival inflammation or periodontal pockets
2.Presence of systemic disease
3.Presence of smoking habit, habit of chewing gums
4.Use of anti-inflammatory or antibiotic medication within 3 months before the commencement of study
5.Fluoride therapy within 3 months before the commencement of study
