简要总结
Despite adequate anaesthetic depth, direct laryngoscopy and intubation elicita significant adreno-sympathetic response. This response, as manifested byincreased blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), arrythmias etc. Lignocaine givenintravenous or topically (nebulization) attenuates pressor responses tolaryngoscopy and intubation. Very few studies lignocaine by nebulization hasbeen done to evaluate the effect on pressor responses.
The present study was undertaken to compare the efficacy of intravenouslignocaine 2%versus efficacy of nebulized lignocaine before induction ofanaesthesia in attenuating the pressor response to direct laryngoscopy andendotracheal intubation.
