Group I (control group):
1. Healthy age and BMI matched female individuals.
2. Healthy female individuals without any known medical history and who are willing to participate in the study.
Group II (study group):
1. Female patients in between the age of 30-60 years.
2. Clinically and histopathological diagnosed female cases of Oral Lichen Planus.
Group I (control group):
1. Patients with known systemic conditions like endocrine diseases, autoimmune diseases.
2. Pregnant patients, patients on estrogen therapy, etc.
3. Patients having history of uterus or ovaries removal.
4. Patients with history of abortion in last 6 months.
5. Patients on stress management therapy or hormone replacement therapy or use of oral contraceptive pill in last 6 months.
6. Patients under the treatment of thyroid disorders.
7. Patients with any other mucosal lesions.
8. Patients those who are not willing to participate.
Group II (study group):
