•Adult patients 18 years and older.
•Patients presenting to the emergency department with acute epigastric pain who are prescribed an antacid / lidocaine mixture.
Exclusion Criteria
•Refusal to participate
•Those who cannot communicate e.g. dementia, language barriers, or are too ill
