Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. ASA grade 1 and 2
  • •2\. BMI 18\-30 kg/sq metre.
  • •3\. Patient of either sex scheduled to undergo
  • •elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia.
  • •4\. Duration of Surgery: upto 120 minutes.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patient refusal
  • •2\. Neuropsychiatric disorder or on chronic use of psychoactive medications.
  • •3\. Renal dysfunction.
  • •4\. Known or suspected EEG abnormalities\-Epilepsy,previous brain surgery.
  • •5\. ASA Grade 3 and 4
  • •6\. Obesity (BMI \>30\)
  • •7\. Pregnant and lactating females.
  • •8\. History of alcohol and drug abuse.
