- •hereditary hemochromatosis; live in Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina Brazil; a minimum age limit of 18 years; maintenance treatment; homozygous for the C282Y mutation in HFE; absence of anemia and a minimum interval of one month from the last phlebotomy.
排除标准
- •Use of chelating agents 24 hours prior to the start of the study; presence of acute or chronic infections; cancer; diagnosis for secondary hemochromatosis and in women in the menstrual phase of the menstrual cycle.
