This study compares the effectiveness of Silver diamine fluoride (SDF), Chitosan and Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) as Indirect pulp capping agents in primary molars of children of age group 4 years to 8 years. Study is done as randomized clinical trial.

入选标准

  • Primary Molars with intact Periodontium and Lamina dura
  • Patient with asymptomatic carious lesion with distinct dentin involvement, verified by radiographic examination.
  • Carious lesion without any pulpal involvement.
  • Teeth with no radiographic signs of internal and external resorption.
  • No furcation radiolucency.

排除标准

  • 1.Non-consent of parent to participate in the study.
  • 2.Child with Definitely Negative behavior 3.Teeth with history of spontaneous pain.
  • 4.Deep carious lesion with pulpal involvement.
  • 5.Medically compromised children.
  • 6.Tooth with restoration or fracture.
  • 7.Widened Periodontal Ligament 8.Radiolucency in furcal area.

主要结局

Formation of teritiary dentin on primary molars

时间窗: Baseline, 1 month,3 months,6 months

次要结局

  • Better marginal adaptability and no microleakage(1 month,3 months,6 months)
