•Primary dysmenorrhoea moderate dysmenorrhoea to severe dysmenorrhoea points screened by VAS as confirmed by detailed clinical history and ultrasonography
•Regular menstrual cycles of 21â??35 days
•Menstrual period of 3â??7 days
•Participants willing to participate in research and ready to fill the consent form
•Participants willing to undergo fasting therapy
•Women with underlying diseases eg endometriosis fibroids adenomyosis endometrial polyps and pelvic inflammatory disease - secondary dysmenorrhoea
•Those using intrauterine contraceptive device
•Those taking OCP
•Those using conventional or alternative treatments for pain reduction
•Those undergoing hormonal replacement therapy

Name Time Method Intensity of pain will be assessed using visual analog scaleTimepoint: Intensity of pain will be assessed using visual analog scale at the baseline before fasting, during first menstrual cycle after fasting, during second menstrual cycle after fasting and during third menstrual cycle after fasting
