Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. patients with minimum of 18 natural teeth in mouth
  • •2\. chronic periodontitis patients with probing pocket depth
  • •\>/ 5mm in minimum of three teeth per quadrant bilaterally in the maxillary arch.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.use of local or systemic antimicrobial agents 6 months prior to study. 2\. previous periodontal therapy during last 6 months. 3\.pregnancy 4\. smokers 5\.regular users of mouth wash. 6\.chronic alcoholics 6\.patients using vitamin supplements, anti inflammatory agents in past 3 months.
