(1) self-declared refugee background
(2) Syria, Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan as the country of origin
(3) Age between 18-35 years
(4) hazardous use of alcohol and/ or cannabis (AUDIT-score of =5 and <20 for males and =4 and <20 for females and on the CUDIT-R-score of =8 and <12 for all genders)
(5) Informed written consent
(1) Country of origin other than Syria, Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan
(2) AUDIT-scores <5 or =20 for males and <4 or =20 for females and CUDIT-R-Scores <8 or =12 for all genders
(3) In- or out-patient treatment for SUD (except for a group intervention programme that takes place within the consortium)
(4) Age younger than 18 or higher than 35 years
