Patients aged 18 -65 years undergoing emergency surgery in JIPMER
Exclusion Criteria
1. Pregnancy
2. Gastroesophageal reflux disorders
3. patients who are unable to assume right lateral decubitus position
4. patients posted under very urgent category
5. Impaired level of consciousness (GCS < 10)
6. Poor sonographic window
