Inclusion Criteria
Patients in the age group of 40 to 80 years, of either gender, with body mass index <35kg/m2, diabetic (at least 10 yearsâ?? duration) or non-diabetic, belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) physical status class I to III, undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia will be included in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
Pregnant patients,those with history of upper gastrointestinal morbidity or upper abdominal surgery and patients with liver and kidney disease will be excluded from the study.
