Inclusion Criteria
ASA grade I and II
Patients undergoing unilateral primary hip arthroplasty
Exclusion Criteria
1.Local infection at site of proposed block
2.Bleeding diathesis
3.Bilateral THA done in same sitting
4.Allergy to local anesthetics
5.BMI >35

Name Time Method 1.To assess percentage of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of thigh blockade with each volume of local anesthetic <br/ ><br>2.To assess sensory loss in branches of lumbar plexus by dermatomal mapping <br/ ><br>3.To assess motor blockade evaluated by modified Bromage scoringTimepoint: onset will be noted every 10 minutes till 30 munutes after block <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Duration of block: till 24 hours of block <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Pain score at 6, 12, 18 and 24 hours of blocks
