Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of physical status I and II according to American Society of Anesthesiologists
- •(ASA) who are without comorbidities ,scheduled for elective middle ear surgery under
- •general anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with severe obesity (body mass index greater than 35),
- •renal insufficiency (serum creatinine more than 1.6 mg/dl),
- •liver dysfunction (serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase/ serum glutamic pyruvic
- •transaminase values more than 50% of normal),
- •patients with difficult airways,
- •cardiorespiratory abnormalities (Diabetes, Hypertension, New York Heart Association
- •heart failure grades 3 and 4, obstructive and restrictive lung diseases),
- •, pregnant, currently breast feeding women,
- •history of sleep apnea planned / emergency surgeries in neck and oral cavity.
