Inclusion Criteria
Patients diagnosed with primary or recurrent esophageal squamous cell carcinoma of any stage. Age more than 18 years.Patients who are from southern India.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with Esophageal adenocarcinoma. Patients who are not willing to give informed consent. Patients who are other than from Southern India

Name Time Method To evaluate the global gene expression profile, microRNA profile, p16 methylation in all stages of esophageal cancer.To assess the salivary microRNA profile in esophageal cancer.To study the distribution of gene expression and molecular profile with respect to environmental and dietary factors. To study the prognosis and survival outcomes in different molecular signatures. To evolve the biomarkers for the detection of esophageal cancer in high incidence region of South India.Timepoint: 3 years
