Exclusion Criteria
Patients excluded from this study were those who experienced a prior AMI and were pregnant, and QRS complex > 120 milliseconds. Patients with the Brugada syndrome, defined as right bundlebranch block and ST-segment elevation (>0.2 mV) in precordial leads V1 to V3, without intervention or following infusion of a sodium-channel blocker, also excluded.
