Diagnosis of the mild or moderate stage of CTS (according to criteria by Whitney and McDonnell) by an orthopedist or neurologist, symptom duration for more than three months, and general good health.
Advanced CTS, secondary CTS, any previous surgery in the upper limb, previous steroid injections and any physical therapy treatment within six months before the study, pregnancy, cervical radiculopathy, peripheral polyneuropathy, or other neurological conditions. Patients who underwent surgical treatment will be excluded from the study.
