Brief Summary

I applied the hirudoid cream adding 5% trehalose or only hirudoid cream on the left and the right extensor aspects of the forearms and the lower legs for 38 healthy persons. Only hirudoid cream applying side showed significant high water contents of the stratum corneum comparing to the hirudoid cream adding 5% trehalose applying side.(p<0.01)

Inclusion Criteria

On the external aspects of the forearms and the l ower legs of adults having the normal skin surface

Exclusion Criteria

People having the inflammatory skin diseases for example the atopic dermatitis,etc. and the hereditary skin diseases for example the ichthyosis, etc..
