American College of Anaesthesiologists(ASA) physical status grade 1
1.Revision Total Knee Replacement
2.Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia or previous failed spinal anaesthesia
3.Allergy to lidocaine
4.History of long standing diabetes mellitus,cardiac or neurological disease
5.Impaired Renal or Hepatic Function
6.Psychiatric illness affecting pain perception e.g severe depression,anxiety disorder
7.chronic Pain,other than chronic knee pain
8.Alcohol or substance abuse,regular use of strong opiods
9.Patients with obesity,anticipated difficult airway
10.Pregnant patients
