Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients with more than 34 weeks of gestation, undergoing caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia, willing to participate in the study.
  • 2\. Use of only Hyperbaric Bupivacaine for spinal anaesthesia.
  • 3\. Maternal age \> 18 years.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Pre\-existing Systolic blood pressure \<100 mm Hg.
  • 2\. Patient taking any medications which affect blood pressure, other than anti\- hypertensives.
  • 3\. Co\-existent valvular or myocardial disease.
  • 4\. Use of epidural labour analgesia.
  • 5\. Use of systemic opioids.
