•= 18 years,
•signed consent
•abilitiy to participate in the trial
• Participation in other studies
• serious illnesses that make physical training impossible
? relevant diseases of the cardiovascular system: e.g. Heart failure (dyspnoea at rest, leg edema), symptomatic PAOD, exercise-related or even unstable angina pectoris,
• acute infection, fever
• Reasons that exclude training on land
? e.g. relevant musculoskeletal disorders (e.g., severe osteoarthritis), paralysis
• reasons excluding public baths
? e.g. open skin injuries, waterborne diseases
• Aquafitness or scheduled on-shore training (> 1 time per week) in the last 3 months
• pregnancy, lactation,
• Diseases that make participation in the study impossible, e.g. Dementia or mental illness
• Conditions that do not make study participation possible, e.g. insufficient knowledge of German, no way to get there or time for training or measurements
