Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Having primary diagnosis of Major depressive disorder with moderate\-severe level of severity with above 21 score on BDI\-II and with/without anxiety disorder based on DSM\-5 Criteria, confirmed by Mini\-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI version 7\.0\.2; Sheehan et al., 2010\), BDI\-II \& BAI.
  • •2\.Having stabilized on pharmacological treatment.
  • •3\. Working knowledge of Hindi or English.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Presence/history of psychosis, mania and serious suicidal risk
  • •2\.Presence of alcohol/ Substance dependence except nicotine
  • •3\.Presence of higher score (3 or greater than 3\) on level of personality functioning scale
  • •4\.Clinical diagnosis of intellectual disability
  • •5\.Meeting criterion of Postpartum depression
  • •6\.History suggestive of head injury, epilepsy and other neurological or neurosurgical disorders
  • •7\.Previously undergone psychotherapy for depressive disorder within past 6 months.
