Glaucoma implants
Group 1: Drug therapy only (drops); adults (= 50 years) with open angle glaucoma; time of diagnosis and start of drug therapy at least 12 months ago; at least 6 months postoperatively after implantation; visual acuity in the better eye = 30%
Group 2: Micro-Stent ± drug therapy (drops); adults (= 50 years) with open angle glaucoma; time of diagnosis and start of drug therapy at least 12 months ago; visual acuity in the better eye = 30%

cochlea implants
Group 1: Postlingual deafness and implantation; middle age
Group 2a: Prelingual deafness and childhood implantation
Group 2b: Parents of participants from group 2a
Minimum wearing period of the cochlea implant of 12 months after implantation
Minimum age of 18 years

Name Time Method Transmitting ethical, psychosocial, cultural and health literacy relevant aspects into the development and provision of implants. Increasing the patient orientation in implant development and provision. Promotion of the quality of life of people with implants. Reduction of the costs of care.
