Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Al inborn neonates weighing between 1000\-1500g in whom enteral feeding would be started within 96 hours of life

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\-Major congenital malformation including Tracheo\-Esophageal Fistula, Oesophageal
  • Atresia, Duodenal atresia interfering or delaying the feed initiation.
  • 2\-Chromosomal abnormalities,
  • 3\-Perinatal asphyxia (APGAR score of \<5 at 5min) or encephalopathy due to any
  • ï?? out born status,
  • ï?? Intestinal perforation before initiation of feeding,
  • ï?? Infants with Absent or Reversed End Diastolic Flow(AEDF/REDF) in antenatal USG
  • ï?? Infants who are severely sick, on invasive ventilation or shock,
  • ï?? Infants in whom enteral feeding could not be started within 96 hours of life.
