Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • \> 18 years
  • ASA I \& II patiënts
  • Are the trial subjects under 18? no
  • Number of subjects for this age range:
  • F.1\.2 Adults (18\-64 years) yes
  • F.1\.2\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 70
  • F.1\.3 Elderly (\>\=65 years) yes
  • F.1\.3\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 10

Exclusion Criteria

  • \- Pulmonary hypertension
  • \- Patients with evidence of coronary (NYHA III) disease
  • \- Pulmonary disease (COPD/Asthma)
  • \- Right ventricle dysfunction
  • \- Psychiatric pathology like syndromes: dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar personality
  • \- Daily use of benzodiazepines and/or opioids
  • \- Use of psychogenic drugs
  • \- Laparoscopies (Abdominal CO2 administration can bias our results)
  • \- Pregnant women and breastfeeding women
