Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •mildly anemic with HB 8\-11\.5mg/dl
  • •willing to participate
  • •Living at Child Care institutions as inmates for at least one year
  • •can understand English and/or Tamil

Exclusion Criteria

  • •chronic diseases like Tuberculosis, Endocrine disorders,
  • •Epilepsy, Nephrotic disorders, Gastro Intestinal disorders and abnormalities
  • •and Congenital abnormalities
  • •\- are under day care and not inmates of Child Care Institutions
  • •\- physically challenged
  • •\- mentally challenged
  • •\- IQ lower than 80
  • •\-have reported food allergies
  • •\- no menstrual abnormalities
