入选标准

  • The study population will be recruited according to the following criteria:
  • 1. Asthma group
  • -Clinical diagnosed-asthma aged ≥ 20 years old
  • -Clinical diagnosed-asthma based on episode breathlessness, wheezing, cough, and tightness after incidental allergen exposure and/or bronchodilator responsiveness (≥ 12% and 200 milliliter increase in FEV1 after 2-4 puffs of salbutamol.
  • -No history of chronic respiratory diseases other than asthma
  • -Non-smokers or ex-smoker < 5 packs-year
  • -Stable disease with controller medication for at least 6 weeks
  • -Controller medication used for at least 3 month
  • Healthy group
  • -Healthy subjects aged ≥ 20 years old
  • -No history of chronic respiratory diseases
  • -Non-smokers or ex-smoker < 5 packs-year
  • -Normal spirometry

排除标准

  • The study population will be excluded from the study according to the following criteria:
  • - Unable to perform spirometry
  • - Unable to perform IOS
  • - Spirometry not met American Thoracic Society (ATS)/ European Respiratory Society (ERS) 2005 standard
  • - IOS not met standard recommended by Bickel et al and ERS standard
