Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Female gender, premenopausal
- •\- Symptomatic, community\-acquired, uncomplicated urinary tract infection; defined according to the criteria of the current AWMF guideline (4\) BEFORE antibiotic therapy.
- •\- Written informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Evidence of more serious or other urogenital infection including fever, flank pain, renal pelvic palpitation, vaginal discharge, and vaginal pain.
- •\- Pregnancy
- •\- Diabetes mellitus and other relevant metabolic diseases
- •\- Kidney disease
- •\- Taking medications that affect the genitourinary tract
- •\- Immunosuppression
