Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. adult patients
- •2\. patients who have been admitted to the emergency department of the UKA with the suspicion of an acute stroke
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. pregnancy
- •2\. persons who are in a dependent or employment relationship with the sponsor or investigator
- •3\. patients with a history of trauma and/or fractures of the cervical spine; cervical injuries; cervical brace; wounds and/or wound healing disorder and/or inflammation in the region of the neck; cervical surgery in the last 30 days; contraindication to head rotation
- •4\. patients for whom POCUS is likely to delay routine further treatment
- •5\. lack of consent by the patient, proxy or independent medical doctor
