Inclusion Criteria
1. COVID positive (by RT-PCR method) patients who are critically ill (room air SPO2 < 94%, and RR >25), and health care workers and close contacts.
2. Signed informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
1. Pregnancy
2. Age-less than 20 years or greater than 80 years
3. Those with HIV infection, chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, hematological malignancy, and those on immunosuppressive drugs
4. Those who have received hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19
