healthy patients with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis with moderate to severe pain,informed consent granted for the study
Exclusion Criteria
patient with allergy to any medication used in the study.
pregnant, medically compromised patients, radiographic PAI > 3

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method intra-operative Pain during root canal treatment at any stage (access opening, dentin penetration or file insertion), moderate to severe pain (on VAS) will be counted as failure of IANB. No pain or mild pain will be counted as success of IANB.Timepoint: intra-operative pain (recorded on VAS scale) at any time during treatment specifically at dentin penetration, pulp chamber entry and during file insertion. Pain will only be observed intraoperatively (during treatment) only. at any point if patient feels moderate to severe pain it will be counted as failure of IANB
