Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •\- aged between 55 and 75 years
  • •\- living independent
  • •\- waiting for a total hip arthroplasty at the Martini Hospital
  • •\- living less than 15 kilometers from the hospital

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- a revision operation
  • •\- severe comorbidity that influence mobility
  • •\- cognitive disabilities
  • •\- not able to understand or read the Dutch exercise instructions
