Inclusion Criteria
- age 70 years and older
- suspect for subtrochanteric, pertrochanteric of femoral neck fracture
- undergone diagnostic blood sampling as part of the standard-of-care during
acute trauma care
Exclusion Criteria
- polytrauma (ISS >16)
- transferred from other hospitals >24 hours after trauma
- transferred to another hospital after presentation
- immunocompromised status
- active infectious disease

Name Time Method <p>The main assessed parameters will be the results from the AQUIOS CL® *load &<br /><br>go* flow cytometer, regarding protein expression on the neutrophil surface.<br /><br>These parameters are related to clinical outcome in terms of infectious<br /><br>complications and mortality.</p><br>
