Exclusion Criteria
1. obstetric and pediatric patients
2. presence of comorbidities like cardiac failure, COPD
3. patients on inotropic support(0.03microgram/kg/min of noradrenaline)

Name Time Method Successful extubation after undergoing either of the spontaneous breathing trial.Timepoint: Success or failure of extubation determined by the need to reintubate the patient within 48 hours of extubation.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Physiological difference in the cardiorespiratory parameters at the end of two hours following spontaneous breathing test with either of the two modes.Timepoint: parameters will be measured at two hours post extubation.
