All post operative patient

Exclusion Criteria

1. obstetric and pediatric patients

2. presence of comorbidities like cardiac failure, COPD

3. patients on inotropic support(0.03microgram/kg/min of noradrenaline)

Primary Outcome Measures

Successful extubation after undergoing either of the spontaneous breathing trial.Timepoint: Success or failure of extubation determined by the need to reintubate the patient within 48 hours of extubation.
Secondary Outcome Measures

Physiological difference in the cardiorespiratory parameters at the end of two hours following spontaneous breathing test with either of the two modes.Timepoint: parameters will be measured at two hours post extubation.
