No history of gestational diabetes mellitus
Not consumption of vitamin and mineral supplements during the last 6 months

Exclusion Criteria

Preterm delivery
Preeclampsia
The need for insulin or oral medication for lowering blood sugar during the intervention
Bed rest
Alcoholism
Smoking
