Inclusion Criteria

1. patients with good consciousness, RASS score between (-1)-(+1)
2. verbalized Thai language
3. patients in postoperative period who are fasting
4. under general anesthesia in perioperative period
5. patients who are in 1-6 hr. after extubated endotracheal tube
6. approved in the Safety Protocol for Thirst Management (SPTM)
7. consent to participate the study

Exclusion Criteria

1. patients with oral surgery or oral lesion
2. patients in dying stage
3. diagnose Xerostomia
4. body temperatures more than 37.5 degree Celsius
