Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patients with trigeminal neuralgia:
  • •1\.Patients has trigeminal neuralgia and a microvascular decompression has been scheduled
  • •2\.Signed consent
  • •3\.Patient is of full age
  • •4\.Missing exclusion criteria
  • •1\. Medical indication for an MRI with the follwoing sequences: DTI, T1, T2 und ggf. CISS.
  • •2\. Signed consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Trigeminus\-Patienten:
  • •1\.Implants containing metal and or pace makers because of which an MRI is not possible.
  • •Kontroll\-Patienten:
  • •1\. Known cranial nerve deficit of any sort.
  • •2\. Meningitis / inflamatory CSF\-syndrom (incl. Multiple Sklerosis).
  • •3\. Any intracranial maligne Process with proven cells in the CSF.
