Inclusion Criteria
1.Patient aged 18-60 years posted for head and neck cancer surgery.
2. Patient belonging to ASA I-II.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Any known allergy to study drugs.
2.Patient with bradycardia(HR <60/min)
3.Surgeries exceeding > 5hrs.
4. Patients on ventilator in the postoperative period.
5.Patient refusal.

Name Time Method To compare the intubation response and propofol requirement in both the groupsTimepoint: During induction and intubation
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1.To compare the haemodynamic parameters in both the groups during the intraoperative period. <br/ ><br> 2.To compare the analgesic consumption in the 24 hr postoperative period. <br/ ><br> 3.To observe for any side effects in both the groups.Timepoint: Intraoperatively and postoperatively
