Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Adult ( \>18yrs) type 2 diabetes mellitus patients Uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c: 7\.5 \- 8\.5\)
- •On stable treatment for the past 3 months
Exclusion Criteria
- •Type 1 diabetes mellitus
- •Elderly patients ( \>65 yrs)
- •Patients on insulin therapy
- •Pregnant or lactating women
- •Known macrovascular complications
- •GI manifestations of DM autonomic neuropathy
- •Lactose intolerance Irritable Bowel syndrome Addictions such as alcohol Diabetic ketoacidosis Hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome
