Patients who meet all of the following criteria are eligible.
1) Patients who are between 40 and 80 years old.
2) Patients with missing single tooth (premolar or bicuspid) in the upper and lower jaws who are seeking implant treatment after tooth extraction at the Implant Dentistry Department of Showa University Dental Hospital.
3) Patients who have given written consent to participate in this study.
Persons who violate any of the following will not be included in this study.
1) Smoking
(2) Patients with osteoporosis, severe diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, bone metabolism disease such as taking steroids or bisphosphonates (BP drugs), or taking drugs that interfere with bone metabolism
(3) Patients with alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric disorders
(4) Patients who are undergoing or have undergone radiotherapy
(5) Patients with cardiac disease, hematological disease, or collagen disease
(6) Patients with renal failure or on dialysis
(7) Pregnant, lactating, or possibly pregnant
8) Patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergy to bone graft materials or membranes
9) Patients with large lesions, fistulas or acute symptoms (swelling and drainage of pus) of the tooth to be extracted
10) Patients who are deemed ineligible for participation in the study by the investigator.
