a) adults with age > 18 years
b) Patients getting admitted in medical emergency with sepsis, defined as
?Suspected or documented infection: patient having signs and symptoms of
infection, such as fever, leucocytosis, or localising signs (e.g.: pneumonia, urinary
tract infection, intraabdominal infection or skin and soft tissue infection).
? SOFA score of 2 or more
a) Pregnant females.
b) Patients of cardiovascular disease who are already on statins.
c) Patients with malignancy.
d) Patients with liver failure.
e) Patients with myopathy.
f) Age <18years.
g) Patients with trauma.
h) Surgical patients.
