Brief Summary
This non-randomized interventional study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a nurse-led life skill training program on psychosocial well-being, self-esteem, and coping strategies among children residing in selected orphanages in Mangalore, Karnataka. A total of 120 participants will be selected through purposive sampling and allocated into intervention and active control groups. The life skill training will be delivered by trained nurses over a structured schedule. Outcomes will be assessed using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and the KIDCOPE coping inventory. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will be conducted to measure changes in psychosocial well-being, self-esteem, and coping strategies. The study is expected to provide evidence for the role of behavioural interventions in promoting mental health and resilience among vulnerable children.

Inclusion Criteria
- •Able to comprehend and respond in Kannada or English.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Suffering from any kind of psychiatric ailment and on treatment for the same Those who had frequent contact with their families through regular weekend visits Those with any history of significant neurological or mental deficits Those who were taking any antipsychotic or mood stabiliser drugs at the time of the study.
