简要总结

The study is an observational cross sectional study which aims to estimate the prevalence of smokeless tobacco use among adult population in an urban resettlement colony of Delhi.

Study will be conducted for a period of 1 year in the Gokalpuri area located in the north east district of Delhi.

Study  subjects will be selected by systematic random sampling method and will be conducted by house-to-house visit to all houses.

Study subject will be interviewed through the pre-structured questionnaire. the data will be calculated using an interview schedule , which will have questions divided into the following sections :

  1. the socio-demographic and economic profile of the study subjects such as name , age , sex, occupation,literacy level, total income, total family members , per capita income.

  2. the knowledge regarding the harmful effects of smokeless tobacco and provision of COTPA

  3. factors associated with the initiation and continous use of smokeless tobacco .

  4. Awareness on health effects of tobacco and COTPA .

  • The study subjects must be a resident of the locality for at least for one year.

排除标准

  • The study subjects must not be suffering from any debilitating disease.
